Yea, it looks really nice at night. So does Tiananmen Square but the guards don’t allow you in there after it gets dark.

The Courtyard was a place where you can have a cognac, cigar, and coffee with a view of the Forbidden City at night. An amazing view. I had no problem getting in and access in 2004, not sure what its like today… but for a special occasion it might be the call when in Beijing. http://www.courtyardbeijing.com

Aww…I didn’t get a chance to have a view like that. I stayed at an international youth hostel in a hutong when I was in Beijing. My view was an alley way with dumpsters. Lol
