Photo Friday: Citi Field – New Home of The New York Mets

April 15th, 2011 | 5 comments

I had my very first baseball experience yesterday at Citi Field, the new home of the New York Mets. They played a double header against the Colorado Rockies. Unfortunately, the Mets lost both games. The eight hour event consisted of  burger, fries, pull pork sandwich, popcorn, soda and a Nathan’s hotdog.

Great photo Monica! Not a big Mets fan (seeing I’m from Canada I cheer for the Blue Jays), but I am always a fan of anything to do with baseball. I am playing in a Honduran ball league down here, you should see the fields in comparison, the photo above looks like a dream-field!

Hope you enjoyed. Think you will go again?

Gotta love the food at baseball games. I can’t believe there wasn’t beer included though! I can’t do a game without a beer. . . or peanuts.

You know what Deb, you’re right! Why didn’t I grab myself some beer? I think I will have to go to the next game just to remedy that.

Thanks Peter! I’ve been to Honduras before but have never seen a baseball field there. I personally think it’s a bit overwhelming how much we are bombarded with advertisements. I definitely enjoyed the game even though the Mets lost and I’m certainly going to go back again. Baseball isn’t as boring as I thought it would be. Lol

I am gonna have to say that I have never really been into baseball but my boyfriend’s parents offered us some of their season tickets to the Braves games. The view looks great and I am sure the atmosphere is really cool. I did not know that attending a game could take 8 hours but I am looking forward to my first baseball experience!
